Digital and IT careers

A hub for global information management

In 2018, Airbus expanded its Information Management (IM) capabilities in India by establishing a Global Capability Centre. Supporting all divisions worldwide, the centre drives in-sourcing of core capabilities across four key areas:

  • modernising ERP and PLM systems
  • powering digital technologies
  • enabling strategic transformation initiatives
  • providing IT infrastructure support globally.

Driving digital innovation and collaboration

The IM Centre focuses on Big Data, IoT, AI, Cloud Computing, Airline Sciences, Cybersecurity, and strategic projects like DDMS and Skywise. With over 1,000 skilled IT professionals, it generates annual business opportunities worth $5 million and partners with premier Indian institutes for R&D.

Sustainable practices like virtual computing reduce its carbon footprint, and the centre is designed to accommodate differently-abled employees, fostering inclusivity.

Sustainability strategy

Enabling a safer and sustainable tomorrow

Airbus in India IM is dedicated to building cutting-edge Information Management Systems and capabilities that align with Airbus’ vision of pioneering sustainable aerospace.

By supporting global operations, fostering innovation, and collaborating locally, the IM Centre plays a vital role in enabling Airbus to create a safer, more connected, and sustainable world.
