The year 2007 marked the ‘entry into service’ for the engineering team. Since then the team has grown strongly and steadily, with more than 900 engineers.

Our engineering network

The Airbus India engineering team supports Commercial, Helicopters, and Defence & Space divisions while collaborating globally with entities in France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Canada, China, and the USA.

Based in Bengaluru, this team is integral to Airbus’ worldwide operations, contributing to diverse projects and enhancing engineering excellence across divisions.

Comprehensive engineering solutions

A major focus is on commercial aircraft, delivering solutions for Flight Physics, Airframe, Systems, Flight Test, and Propulsion. The team supports aircraft design, resolves in-service issues, ensures airworthiness, and works on models like the A220, A320, A330, A350, Beluga, A321XLR, and A350F.

They also drive R&D and innovation for projects like the ZEROe aircraft. Airbus in India oversees Centres of Excellence for fuselage and wing design through AXISCADES and QuEST, further strengthening its engineering footprint.
