Airbus is offering Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approved drone pilot training course at the Airbus Training Centre in Bengaluru.

Designed for micro and small category drones, the five-day course includes both theory and flying lessons from DGCA-approved Airbus instructors. Upon successful completion of the course Airbus will award the candidates with DGCA approved ‘Remote Pilot Certificate’ for small class rotorcraft.

Course structure

The five-day programme includes: 

Day 1 & 2:

  • Theoretical sessions

Day 3:

  • Drone flight simulator training
  • Lab session (basic assembly and maintenance)

Day 4 & 5: 

  • Practical drone flying classes (at an approved green zone)
  • Progress check and skill test

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian citizens between 18 and 65 years old
  • Applicants must have successfully completed their 10th-grade examination from a recognised board
  • Applicants should have a government issued valid Indian Passport or Voter's ID card or Ration card or Driving License
