Faces of Airbus

Severine v.d.W

System Analysis Avionics

From programming and troubleshooting complex systems to technical project management: the range of tasks at SUZ EF is huge, so there is certainly something for everyone.

Severine works as a Systems Engineer for a Eurofighter avionics subsystem at SUZ EF. After leaving school with the ‘Abitur’, she joined the Bundeswehr and served as an officer in the German Air Force. She graduated with a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Bundeswehr University Munich, then trained as an aeronautical engineering officer for transport aircraft. She commenced her career at the SUZ EF in 2014 as a member of the armed forces with the Eurofighter system engineer course, and has continued in this role as an Airbus employee since the end of her service.

“I chose the SUZ EF because it gives me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I have acquired in training and during my time in the service and thus support the operational capability of our forces. The cooperation between civilian Airbus employees and military personnel opens up new perspectives in solving complex problems in the context of in-service support and the ongoing technical development of the weapon system in order to support the German Air Force. The team spirit at the SUZ EF is special: regardless of whether or not you have a military background, you work together on problems and support each other wherever possible.”
