What’s so special about working in a civil-military cooperation is that we can draw on the knowledge and experience of Airbus and the German Air Force at the same time. This means that we can rely on a unique level of expertise in performing our work. At the end of the day, everyone here at SUZ EF contributes to the operational capability of the Eurofighter fleet.
Melanie joined the Bundeswehr in 2014 and graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering (MSc) from the Bundeswehr University in Neubiberg. She trained as a Eurofighter Systems Engineer at the SUZ EF and now works in systems analysis within the Attack&Identification/Navigation team.
“I wanted to be able to actually use the knowledge I gained from my studies and the systems engineering course at work and build on it. At the SUZ EF I get to work as an engineer on a complex weapon system and carry out extremely interesting and varied assignments. The combination of industrial development expertise and direct input from operations, which we can draw on in this cooperation, is unique.”
