A legacy in aviation
The Airbus presence in Singapore can be traced back to 1969 when one of its founding companies, Aerospatiale, delivered the first helicopters to the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
Since that time Airbus has developed strong partnerships in the country, spanning the commercial aircraft defence, space and helicopter markets.
Located at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park, the Airbus Singapore Campus is the regional hub for its commercial aircraft, defence, space and helicopter businesses. It also houses the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC), and the company’s Asia-Pacific spare parts distribution facility, operated by subsidiary Satair.

Helicopters in Singapore
Our products & services
The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has been a long-time operator of the Super Puma, and will continue for many years to come. In 2021, the RSAF took delivery of its first H225M helicopter, having signalled its confidence in the platform with a new order several years earlier in 2016.
Singapore’s fleet of H225Ms will assume a wide range of roles, including search and rescue, aeromedical evacuation, as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
Defence in Singapore
Our products & services
Singapore operates the new-generation A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) to enhance its air-to-air refuelling capabilities, undertake passenger and cargo transport missions, and support international humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations.
The first aircraft was delivered to the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) in 2018. The RSAF was also the world’s first operator of the A330 MRTT with automatic air-to-air capability.
Space in Singapore
Our products & services
In the space segment, Airbus supplied Singtel’s first telecommunications satellite that was launched in 1998.
Airbus has helped Singapore to become a leader in the near equatorial domain with the TeLEOS-1 and TeLEOS-2 national programmes.
Innovation in Singapore
Singapore is a key partner in Airbus’ innovation initiatives, particularly in Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM). Working closely with the country, Airbus is developing solutions to safely integrate drones and autonomous aircraft into national airspace, supporting future growth in unmanned operations for cargo and surveillance.
Airbus also utilises Singapore’s technological ecosystem to enhance predictive maintenance through its Skywise platform. By analysing real-time aircraft data, Skywise helps optimise maintenance, improving efficiency and reducing downtime for airlines across the region.
As a hub for aerospace innovation, Singapore plays a vital role in data-driven technologies that transform aircraft operations and maintenance, reinforcing the country's importance in shaping the future of aviation.
Industrial partnerships
Airbus has a strong presence in Singapore, with several locally incorporated companies focused on regional customer support, maintenance, and training. This network plays a vital role in enhancing Airbus' services and ensuring top-level support for customers across Asia-Pacific.
A key component of Airbus' operations is the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC), a joint venture with Singapore Airlines. Opened in 2016 at Seletar Aerospace Park, the AATC has grown to become the largest Airbus-operated flight crew training centre globally, featuring 10 full-flight simulators. These simulators provide comprehensive training for pilots on various Airbus aircraft, including the A320, A330, A350, and A380.
The AATC offers a broad range of training programs, including courses for pilots, cabin crew, and maintenance staff. Its state-of-the-art facilities are essential in meeting the growing demand for skilled aviation professionals in the region, reinforcing Singapore's status as a key aerospace hub.
