Airbus Helicopters Inc., the U.S. affiliate, opened its main facility in 1969 in Grand Prairie, Texas, and established its U.S. headquarters in 1980. The campus serves as the main Support and Services hub for North America, offering customer support, sales, engineering, maintenance, spare parts, fleet safety, training, and a new Fleet Operations Center. 

The 18,500 sq. ft. Helisim Simulation Center features full-motion simulators for H145, H175, H125/AS350, and EC135/EC145 helicopters.

Columbus, Mississippi

Assembly line

Airbus Helicopters in the U.S. operates a final assembly line for light utility helicopters near Columbus, in the Golden Triangle region of northeast Mississippi.  More than 1,700 aircraft have left the Mississippi assembly line since it opened in 2003.

The site also customises Airbus helicopters and manufactures components for new aircraft.

In 2018, the Columbus facility was designated as a Centre of Excellence for Completions and assumed responsibility for the entire Airbus Helicopters North America region.

DFW Distribution Center

Logistics hub

Airbus Helicopters' logistics hub and distribution center at DFW Airport spans 80,000 sq. ft. and operates 24/7. It provides aftermarket support to commercial and government customers across the U.S., handling 316,000 transactions annually. 

The facility's strategic location ensures quick shipping and extended delivery hours, supported by 55 staff, including compliance experts, customs brokers, and quality assurance personnel.
