Airbus Defence and Space in Warsaw
Plant and Service Centre
Combining over 95 years of Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze (PZL) heritage, Airbus Defence and Space in Poland employs more than 600 people. Our Warsaw Okęcie site houses the design office, production facility and Service Centre, providing maintenance for the C295 transport aircraft of the Polish Air Force and other countries’ fleets.
Our activities play a key role in Airbus's global supply chain, with operations including:
- Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO): Certified CASA C295 Service Centre for the Polish Air Force and international fleets.
- Electrical harnesses: Production of harnesses for military and civil aircraft, as well as satellites.
- Aviation structures: Manufacturing complex fuselage, wing and door structures.
- Engineering services: Designing and upgrading light aircraft and structure components.

Airbus Helicopters in Łódź
Aviation design
Based in Łódź, Airbus Helicopters Poland (AHP) boasts 130 highly qualified employees, including 110 engineers. As a leading design office and key R&D centre, we specialise in designing, testing and optimising mechanical and structural components for helicopters and VTOL rotorcraft.
Working closely with facilities in Marignane (France) and Donauwörth (Germany), AHP is a key R&D centre driving innovation in aviation. We take great pride in working on innovative projects that will set the trends for the future.

Flight operations
NAVBLUE is an exciting and forward-thinking company, owned by Airbus, focused on providing top-notch flight operations solutions and services for airlines and aircraft operators, both on the ground and in the air.
With over 600 customers worldwide, we bring together aircraft manufacturing expertise, practical flight operations, and agile development. Our mission is to make aviation smarter, safer, and more sustainable. From digital cockpit operations to navigation and flight control, we deliver reliable, user-friendly solutions that boost efficiency and productivity.
Based in Gdańsk, our team includes software developers, chapter leaders, customer specialists, technical support experts, and aviation analysts specializing in flight operations and navigation.

Sky Academy
To meet the needs of our market, we created Sky Academy - an in-house school for Aviation Structural Assemblers which helps newly hired blue collar employees integrate and adapt to their daily working life. Drilling, riveting, sealing and reading technical docs are among activities they learn to tackle.
University Partnership
Our collaboration with the Warsaw University of Technology's Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (MEiL) focuses on internships, research projects, and promoting technical education.
School Partnership
Airbus has a cooperation agreement with Bohaterów Narwik Aviation Technical Secondary School in Warsaw, offering practical training and exams for avionics and aircraft mechanic technicians.
