In addition, we expect our suppliers to comply with Airbus Supplier Requirements and to deploy state of the art processes to reach operational excellence.
In order to reach this objective, we encourage our Suppliers to download the AERO EXCELLENCE maturity grid (for free) and to use it as a baseline to drive their industrial maturity improvements.

How to become an Airbus Supplier
Selection process
Airbus continuously develops its supplier base using our Potential Supplier Identification process.
Our objective is to identify high potential suppliers.
1. Send your company information to our email : globalsourcing@airbus.com
This will allow us to understand what you sell.
2. Get contacted by our team: Based on our requirements, sourcing strategy and opportunities, we will revert to you if your products/ services are aligned with our needs.
3. Be assessed : after being contacted by our teams, we will sign an NDA to go deeper in the process that may include a more detailed questionnaire, supplier visit and assessment.
If some requirements are not met, our team can provide you development support.
4. Participate in a Call For Tender: after final alignment you might be invited to participate in it.
Requirements for working with Airbus
Airbus shall be at any time in position to demonstrate to Airworthiness authorities a full compliance to their requirements.
To do so, we are engaged in partnership with suppliers compliant with International Standards and with Airbus specific requirements aiming at securing Product Safety and Customer Satisfaction.
Airbus Beyond proposed training for suppliers - at their own cost - to better understand Airbus requirements and gain deeper insights to Airbus expectations.
Requirements
International Standards:
IAQG “International Aerospace Quality Group”
EN 91xx (or equivalent)
Sets quality requirements for design, development, production, installation, distribution and servicing.
National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP): Provides a globally recognized Special Process or Product assessments accreditation program
Airbus Specific Requirement (ASR): Covers all Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and logistic requirements
Airbus Special Process & Test: Secure Special Process at suppliers across all manufacturing processes used for Airbus products
Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect the suppliers to commit to the Code of Conduct and integrate these principles into their own supply chain.
