ILA Berlin 2026
Meet the world's aerospace pioneers
ILA 2026
The ILA Berlin Air Show, which dates back to 1909, brings the world's aerospace and defence industry to the heart of Europe, every two years. Industry representatives, politicians, members of the armed forces and academics gather at Berlin's ExpoCenter Airport in Schoenefeld for an airshow focusing on the themes of the future of flight, innovation and new technologies.
Reflecting the theme of this year's event - #Meet the world’s aerospace pioneers - Airbus will demonstrate its commitment to connecting people and businesses, while driving the industry's transition to decarbonisation, and to providing security and stability. This year’s edition highlights a stronger focus on defence, with ILA Berlin as a central political and industry platform for European technological sovereignty and security.
On this page you will find information about the wide range of products and services that Airbus will showcase on the ground and in the air, as well as the conference agenda and the latest news, photos and videos related to the show.

#ILA26
Don't just watch it fly. Watch it think: Airbus demonstrated autonomy and teaming capabilities at ILA Berlin 2026 in partnership with Primoco UAV through a live autonomous flight of teamed UAVs.
Defence and innovation: Why security matters for our future
The world is becoming increasingly volatile, and the nature of conflict is shifting. When threats evolve at lightning speed, a society’s ability to protect itself is its most vital asset.
Defence is the framework that gives our lives stability and enables us to live and speak freely. It is the bedrock of national sovereignty, ensuring our independence to make our own choices and giving our society the resilience to progress in the long term. Defence is always present, even if we don't directly notice it.
Innovation and Research and Technology on display at ILA
Visitors can explore how Airbus is shaping the future of aviation through lower-carbon emissions, digital transformation and pioneering technology across these key areas:
- Aerial displays: from the efficient widebody A350 to the high-speed Racer demonstrator helicopter.
- PioneerLab and propulsion: our helicopter FlightLab and next-generation hydrogen fuel cell mock-ups.
- Advanced research: the foldable Wing of the Future design alongside weight-saving, additively manufactured parts.
- Quantum navigation: advanced, jamming-resistant sensors that read the Earth’s magnetic crust to support satellite-based navigation systems.
- Future factory: the next generation of manufacturing, featuring co-bots and predictive design tools.
Our presence in Germany
Airbus in Germany is bigger and broader than many people think. Across the country, Airbus connects commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space in ways that shape aerospace today and tomorrow. Airbus has more than 50,000 employees across 27 sites in Germany. That is close to half of the country’s entire aerospace workforce.
Hamburg is Airbus’ biggest site in Germany. It is also home to Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Germany and a major hub for building aeroplanes.
Donauwörth is Airbus’ main helicopter hub in Germany. It is where the H135, H145, H145M, and NH90 are assembled. Manching is Airbus’ centre for military air systems in Germany. It supports Eurofighter final assembly, system tests, flight trials, and maintenance for major military fleets.
Bremen helps connect Airbus to both defence and space. The site specialises in A400M fuselage assembly, space transportation, and key parts for the European Service Module used in NASA’s Orion programme.
