Introduction

Derived from Airbus’ mission-proven Super Puma/Cougar family, the H215 is available in two different versions to deliver the performance best suited to customer needs. This rotorcraft is characterised by a proven and robust design, with a modern cockpit and autopilot inherited from the industry reference, the H225.

Airbus’ H215 offers excellent payload lift performance and cost efficiency, along with a demonstrated ability to operate in the world’s harshest environments.

Law enforcement

For law enforcement duties, the H215 can carry a fully-equipped SWAT team for day and night deployment, along with a hoist, rappelling or fast-roping beam. Incorporating a night vision goggle-compatible cockpit, it also can be fitted with a full de-icing kit, multi-purpose air intakes, electro-optical system, hailer loudspeaker system, cargo sling and ballistic protection.

Firefighting

As a valuable firefighting asset, the H125 can employ either a bucket-type water dispersal system or a water belly tank while taking full advantage of its operational performance and the unrivalled automatic pilot. Certified by civil aviation authorities, the H215 can be configured for the transportation of firefighters.

H215 Passenger transport

Passenger transport

The H215’s large interior comfortably accommodates 19 passengers or up to 22 troops – making it ideal for transport missions. The helicopter also can be used for executives and VIPs in a 12-seat arrangement, and as a corporate shuttle.

In head-of-state mission applications, cabin layouts can include front and rear lounges and lavatories, along with food service galleys.

Aerial work and utility

For aerial work and utility missions, the H215 offers a cargo sling capacity of up to 4.5 tonnes, as well as excellent performance in high and hot conditions. Heavy internal loads are facilitated through large sliding doors that allow bulky freight to be loaded and unloaded, while its rear access eases the handling of long loads. The H215’s external mirrors and camera assist the crew during the most challenging missions.
