Combine the passion for computer engineering with the aerospace world. What do you get? This is the story of Muskan, a successful young woman who joined the Airbus family as a Software Engineer and full stack Developer at Airbus India. Graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology at the AISSMS Institute of Information Technology with distinction, Muskan started her career as a Full Stack Developer Intern in the financial field, before combining her two main passions and jump into the aerospace business.
“Personally, being an ‘aero-enthusiast’ since childhood and skilled as a computer engineer, the project I work for today could not bring me a more perfect opportunity to apply my algorithm running brain to the intelligence for Airbus aircrafts!” – she says. “Celebrating today my first year at Airbus, I could not be happier to work in an environment that has nurtured learning and paved the way for exploring the best I can bring to the team, with my skills and passion for Computer Science.” – Muskan says.
In her role, Muskan is responsible for strategic planning of the IT technologies, observing UI/UX and building new programming languages in order to help developing the business.
“Bringing new tech to life is what makes me feel alive.” – Muskan says. “I have been entrusted with opportunities and responsibilities early on, helping me accelerate my growth. This is also possible thanks to communication channels that are open and frank within our team.” – she says.
Being a woman in the industry, Muskan feels very proud of what she has achieve so far. She also started to be a proactive ambassador in supporting young women to join the industry as Airbus demonstrated her the possibility to have a work life balance, where she can spend time and nurture her passions outside of the working hours.
“Here, the opportunity to grow personally and professionally is quite tremendous. To even harmonize work and life, one can actively participate in many entertainment activities organized by Airbus here in India. I’ve been fortunate to be part of this wonderful environment that makes me feel part of a real family and encourages me to push my boundaries and develop my talents." – she says.
Women in Leadership is a space I would like to see grow, and I would like to see more young women engineers to join the challenge of pioneering a new aerospace landscape with their talent. “I have always had a motto in my life that says: believe and put your heart into everything you do! There you will find success!” – Muskan says with a great smile.
