Michael Henrichs is Executive Vice-President Finance. In this role he is a member of the Airbus Helicopters Executive Committee as of January 1, 2024.
Michael brings with him over 15 years of leadership at Airbus and over two decades of experience in corporate finance management. He started his career with the Company in 2007 as Airbus Helicopters’ Head of Financial Controlling for the NH90 programme. From 2013 to 2015, he was Head of Cost, Cash & Competitiveness, during which he launched Airbus Helicopters’ ambitious global competitiveness initiative. From 2015 to 2017, he took on the role of Head of Global Business & Services Controlling for Airbus Helicopters, significantly increasing the business’ partnering capabilities.
In 2017, Michael became Head of Integrated Finance Solutions for Airbus and was tasked with developing a cross-functional organisation that was responsible for the successful implementation of an SAP S4 Hana-based finance system rolled out to 70 legal entities across the globe. He returned to Airbus Helicopters in 2020 as Head of Performance Management and Costing, leading the performance management & costing of the business.
Prior to joining Airbus, Michael was a Project Manager for the Aerospace & Defence Competence Centre at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants from 2001 to 2006 and a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young Audit from 1996 to 1999.
Michael Henrichs holds a Master of Business Administration from McGill University in Canada and a Master of Science in Business from the University of Augsburg in Germany. Fluent in French, English, Italian and his native German, he also studied in Chicago, USA, where he became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
