Alain De Zotti is Executive Vice President Engineering at Airbus Helicopters. In this role, he leads the business’ engineering activities and is a member of the Executive Committee.
In a career spanning more than 30 years at Airbus, Alain De Zotti has held key engineering and programme positions within Airbus Commercial Aircraft, and has been instrumental in driving major aircraft programmes, such as feasibility studies and development campaigns. He has also held a number of Chief Engineering roles covering a range of technical disciplines and product life cycle phases.
In 2014, he was appointed A350 Chief Engineer upon the aircraft’s entry into service. As part of this role, he was responsible for all engineering activities related to the A350 XWB family, including the flight test campaign and certification of the latest aircraft, the A350-1000. Most recently, Alain was responsible for the Engineering Aircraft Architecture & Integration activities and played an active role in leading the programmes’ Chief Engineers.
De Zotti began his long-standing career with Airbus in 1991 shortly after completing his Master’s degree in Engineering at the ISAE-Sup'Aéro.
