Derived from Airbus Helicopters’ proven H175 civil rotorcraft, the multi-role H175M delivers optimum performance for a full range of missions from sea level to hot-and-high operating environments.

Modern, versatile, and offering the largest cabin in its category, the twin-engine H175M is perfectly tailored for a wide range of tactical assignments – including troop transport, delivery of special operations forces (SOF), utility, search and rescue, and casualty evacuation/medical evacuation (CASEVAC/MEDEVAC) – over an unrivalled range of 600 nautical miles.

With outstanding performance

The H175M is ideal for the most demanding deployments.

Range, endurance and the largest cabin

The H175M’s 12 cubic metres of cabin space is the largest on the market for a helicopter of its size.

With the underfloor internal fuel tanks providing a combined capacity of over two metric tons – the most fuel capacity in its class – the H175M boasts an impressive radius-of-action of nearly 300 nautical miles and an endurance of nearly six hours. The fuel tanks’ full integration into the airframe eliminates any impedance of cabin capacity, while allowing excellent ground clearance for operation in all types of terrain with no adverse impact on performance or exposure to external threats.

With the H175M, operators don’t have to choose between payload and range: they have both…at high speed.

Helionix avionics for mission flexibility and safety

The Helionix avionics system provides optimum situational awareness for safe and effective piloting during the most challenging mission profiles, including nap-of-the-Earth flight.

Additionally, it ensures extensive cockpit commonality for pilots who already have trained and flown Helionix-equipped helicopters (Airbus’ H135, H145 and H160), reducing training and transition requirements while also providing cost efficiencies.

The four-screen Helionix displays ensure an intuitive, pilot-friendly cockpit environment that is designed with optimised ergonomics, displaying the most pertinent details needed for the mission and for the fight (including input from the electro-optical system).

4-axis autopilot

The H175M’s dual-duplex 4-axis automatic flight control system (AFCS) provides precision and stability during flight, even in the most challenging weather conditions. Flight envelope protection features include automatic modes such as auto-recovery in the event of pilot disorientation, along with VORTEX ring warning, as well as precision and stability in the hover.

In optimising the crew’s workload to focus on the mission, the AFCS ensures safe final approaches (particularly at low heights for prevention against terrain collision), along with a hands-off one-engine failure management mode. Its TCAS II function for automatic collision avoidance further enhances the helicopter’s overall flight safety, especially in crowded airspace.
