Airbus and the Philippines have had a long-standing relationship, going back more than 40 years. Since then, the European manufacturer has had success across its commercial aircraft, defence and helicopter product lines in the country. 

Airbus also is developing its industrial partnerships in the Philippines, where local firms supply a wide range of equipment and parts for the company.

Airbus is  the leading supplier of the country’s airlines, with aircraft flying with AirAsia Philippines, Cebu Pacific,  Philippine Airlines and PAL Express. These include the latest A320neo Family, A330neo and the long range A350.

Helicopters

In the helicopter business, Airbus is the market leader in the country’s civil and parapublic segment. Today, there are close to 90 Airbus helicopters in service in the country, ranging from the light single-engine models such as the H125 and H130 to the light twin H135 and H145, H155, Dauphin family, and the ACH160. These operate on missions including law enforcement, and services to oil and gas operators, VVIP transport and commercial charters.

Airbus Helicopters is the only manufacturer to operate its own maintenance and overhaul facility in the Philippines, offering full technical assistance to operators in the country.

The Philippine Air Force operates the C295 medium transport, which are used for a wide range of military and humanitarian missions.

Philippine aerospace companies supply a range of aircraft equipment and system parts for Airbus commercial aircraft. These include B/E Aerospace Philippines and Moog Controls Corp (Philippines).
