Laurent Mazoué has been appointed Executive Vice President of Operations at Airbus Helicopters and a member of the Airbus Helicopters Executive Committee since 1 July 2021.
Laurent Mazoué oversees both Industry and Procurement and is a member of the Airbus Helicopters executive leadership team. His responsibilities include raising the company’s industrial model to a new standard - a key aspect of Airbus Helicopters’ transformation plan.
Prior to holding this role, Mazoué held multiple industrial and operational roles at Safran. In 2001, he joined Safran Helicopter Engines as Head of MRO Assembly Lines and was promoted Head of Engines Repair Center in 2005. After heading the Structural Parts Competencies Center from 2008 to 2011, he was ultimately promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations with extended responsibilities from design to production, procurement, purchasing and assembly.
Most recently, Mazoué was Head of Center of Excellence for rotating parts at Safran Aircraft Engines for four years before joining Airbus in his current role.
Mazoué started his career in 1995 at Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes where he held several positions from Method Engineer, to Quality Manager and finally as a Production Manager.
